Overview
Parents and guardians have their own dedicated Dash login to monitor their child's learning progress, view performance data, and access resources to support their child's academic journey. This guide walks you through accessing your parent dashboard for the first time.
What is the Parent Dashboard?
The Parent Dashboard allows you to:
Track daily learning progress - See what your child completed each day
View performance metrics - Monitor mastery levels, time spent, and areas of strength/challenge
Access support resources - Find guides, videos, and coaching materials
Stay connected - Receive insights to help motivate and support your child's learning
First-Time Login Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to the Parent Dashboard
Open a desktop or laptop computer (mobile access may be limited) and go to:
Important: The Parent Dashboard is separate from your child's StudyReel login. Do not try to log into StudyReel with your parent credentials.
Step 2: Click "Forgot Password"
On the login screen, you'll see a username/email field and a password field.
For your first login, click the "Forgot Password" link located below the password field.
Visual Reference:
βThe "Forgot Password" link appears as a small text link beneath the password input box on the login page.
Note to Intercom Admin: Upload a screenshot of the login screen showing the "Forgot Password" link location. Suggested filename: parent-dash-login-forgot-password.png
Step 3: Enter Your Email Address
On the password reset screen, enter the email address where you received your Alpha Anywhere invitation.
This is the primary contact email associated with your parent account.
What happens next:
You'll receive an email with a link to set up your own custom password for future logins.
Check your spam folder if you don't see the email within 5 minutes.
Step 4: Create Your Password
Click the link in the email and follow the prompts to create a secure password.
Password Requirements:
At least 8 characters
Include a mix of letters and numbers
Use a password you'll remember but others can't guess
Save your password in a secure location (password manager recommended).
Alternative Login Method: Secret Password
If you somehow end up being prompted for a password during the "Forgot Password" flow (this occasionally happens due to system quirks), use this temporary password:
Password: iloveschool1!
β(without quotation marks)
After logging in with this password, immediately change it to your own secure password through the account settings.

Troubleshooting Login Issues
"I didn't receive the password reset email."
Check spam/junk folders - Password reset emails sometimes get filtered
Verify the email address - Make sure you're using the same email address where you received your Alpha Anywhere invitation
Wait 10 minutes - Email delivery can occasionally be delayed
Try the reset process again - The link may have expired if you waited too long
"The 'Forgot Password' link isn't working."
Clear your browser cache - Old cached data can cause issues
Try a different browser - Test with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
Use the secret password - Log in with
iloveschool1!and change your password immediately after
"I'm locked out of my account."
Multiple failed login attempts can temporarily lock accounts (usually 15-30 minutes)
Wait 30 minutes and try again
Contact support if the issue persists
"The dashboard looks different than expected".
Ensure you're on the parent dashboard (dash.2hourlearning.com), not StudyReel
Check your user role - You may have been assigned a different role type
Update your browser - Older browsers may not display features correctly
"I can't access the dashboard on my phone/tablet."
The Parent Dashboard is optimized for desktop or laptop computers. While you may be able to view some information on mobile devices, full functionality requires a larger screen.
Workaround: Use your computer's browser in desktop mode if accessing from a tablet.
