Flexibility and Scheduling

How Alpha Anywhere fits into your family's life, on your terms.

Updated this week

Set Your Own Schedule

Alpha Anywhere is fully asynchronous. There are no live classes, no set start times, and no one waiting for your child to log in. Your family sets the daily routine.

The learning platform is available 24/7, so your child can work in the morning, afternoon, or evening. If you travel, shift time zones, or have an unusual week, the program comes with you.

Human support is typically available between 5 am and 5 pm Central Time (6 am to 6 pm Eastern). Your child's learning is never blocked outside those hours.

Year-Round or School Calendar

Your subscription provides 12 months of access. How you use that time is up to you. Some families follow a traditional school-year calendar with summers off. Others work year-round.

We do recommend that students continue some work over the summer. Research shows a 15-20% regression when kids take extended breaks from learning. Even a lighter schedule during the summer helps maintain the progress they have made.

Missing a Day or Adjusting the Week

Missing a day is fine. Working four days a week instead of five is fine, as long as consistent progress is being made. If time is missed, making it up when possible is helpful and encouraged, but not required.

Consistency matters more than perfection. A steady four-day routine beats an inconsistent five-day one.

Using Alpha Anywhere Alongside Another Program

Alpha Anywhere is designed as a complete academic replacement, not a supplement. While nothing prevents families from using it alongside another program, we do not recommend it.

The main reason is fatigue. After 6-7 hours of traditional school plus homework and activities, most kids do not have the energy for an additional 2 hours of focused mastery-based learning. Families who have tried this tell us their children get tired, and the experience suffers.

The program works best when it is the primary curriculum.

Using Alpha Anywhere at Your Child's Current School

Hybrid use with traditional school is not something we officially support, but some families have found success incorporating Alpha Anywhere at their child's school, particularly in private school settings. That would be up to you to structure with your school, and we are always interested in hearing how it goes.

What If You Need to Step Away?

There is no formal pause option. Stepping away would mean cancelling your enrollment and restarting later. If you restart within 90 days, your child's data and progress will be retained. If you need to step away, contact our support team to talk through your options.

Transitioning Back to Traditional School

Students can transition back to traditional school at any time. Your child will have MAP Growth test scores showing their academic level, which schools commonly use for placement. We also provide an activity report transcript showing what your child mastered while in the program.

Questions About Your Specific Situation?
