What is XP?
XP is your daily score for learning, just like points in a video game.
1 XP = 1 minute of focused learning
Your Daily XP Goal
The daily goal is 120 XP for 2 hours of focused work, no matter the subject combination for each student.
1 minute of active work = 1 XP (120 minutes = 120 XP)
The program sets clear daily expectations so students and parents always know what to work on.
Where to See Your Goals?
Next to each test you take and each learning app you use, you’ll see your daily XP goals.
How to Earn XP?
Each subject block is about 25 minutes (varies per the daily XP).
You can complete multiple lessons in that time. Every lesson has its own XP value (like 10 XP or 15 XP). When you finish a lesson with 80% accuracy and above, you earn that XP.
Complete enough lessons to reach 25 XP for that subject.
You earn bonus XP if you achieve 100% accuracy on the lesson (only on the first attempt).
How much XP will I get for my work in each app?
You can find this information in the interactive XP Guide. As you can see there, you need high-quality work to earn XP, not just completed lessons. So, stay focused and give it your best shot!
Repeating Lessons
Some apps let you retake a lesson if your score is below 80% accuracy. When you repeat a lesson, you earn only part of the XP: you get 50% XP on the first redo, 25% XP on the second, and none on the third.
Always try your best the first time to earn the most XP.
Tests & Quizzes
You earn XP for tests and quizzes the same way you do for lessons. This will show next to the test and is modified depending on your score.
Below 80% = Half the XP
Above 90% = Double the XP
Score 100% = 100 XP bonus + the double XP
When You Don’t Earn XP
If you don’t finish a lesson.
If your accuracy is below 80%.
If you rush, guess, or cheat, you can lose XP (negative XP).
NB: You can view the breakdown of XP in the Activity log on your course page.
These may vary from app to app. Learn more about this in our parent app guide
So, make sure you read through instructional articles carefully and watch the instructional videos. Then, when you attempt the quiz, strive for 100% accuracy.
