Edia is a supporting math app for grades 6–9 that gives your child targeted practice on assigned skills. Each assignment is tied to a grade level and a set amount of XP, with a space to show your work, read-aloud support, and step-by-step explanations. A progress bar fills as your child answers correctly and slips back on misses, so finishing a lesson always means the skill was genuinely demonstrated.
How to log in
Apps in TimeBack log in automatically as standard. If the automatic login doesn't work, follow the steps below.
Edia uses “Sign in with Google” with the student's Google account, no separate password. The first time only, you'll tick two permission boxes to finish setup.
Open TimeBack: Sign in to TimeBack and find "Math - Edia" under the “Home” page.
Click Jump In: A pop-up shows your username, password, and a link to launch the app.
Sign in with Google: On the Edia screen, click “Sign in with Google” and use your student's email.
Approve first-time setup: The first time only, tick both checkboxes on the next screen and click Continue.
Getting Started
As soon as you log in, you will be able to see your assignments in Edia. Click ‘Start’ to begin working on your assignments.
How Assignments Work
Assignments are listed by grade level. Each assignment title begins with G’x’, where x indicates the grade level (e.g., G3 = Grade 3). Each assignment also mentions the XP (experience points) you’ll earn upon completion.
When you start a lesson, you’ll see the following layout:
Video: On the right side, you may find a “Watch Video” option (Not all lessons include videos).
Show Your Work: Use this box to show how you solved the problem before typing your answer.
Answer Box: Type your answer here, then click Check.
Audio Support: A speaker icon at the top right allows you to enable read-aloud for questions and explanations.
After you answer a question, you’ll see the following:
Explanation:
You’ll see a detailed, step-by-step explanation of the correct solution.
You can click any underlined word to view its meaning.
Progress and Completion:
A progress bar at the top shows how much of the practice has been completed.
If you answer questions correctly, the bar fills up. If you answer incorrectly, it moves back. Once you reach the goal, the lesson is marked complete, and full XP is awarded.
Note: You cannot complete a lesson without demonstrating proficiency. Therefore, all completed lessons automatically award the full XP mentioned in that lesson.
All completed lessons will move to ‘Complete’ under assignments.

How does my child log in?
TimeBack logs you in automatically. In case this does not work, Edia uses “Sign in with Google.” Open Edia under the “Home” tab, click Jump In, launch the app, click “Sign in with Google,” and choose the student's email. The first time only, tick both checkboxes and click Continue.
My child can't seem to finish a lesson
Edia won't mark a lesson complete until the progress bar reaches its goal; correct answers fill it, while wrong ones move it back. That's by design: it means proficiency before completion. Slowing down, using “Show Your Work,” and reading each explanation is the way through.
Do completed lessons always give full XP?
Yes. Because a lesson can't be completed without demonstrating proficiency, every completed lesson awards the full XP shown on it, and finished lessons move to the “Complete” list.
What do the G3 / G4 labels mean?
Each assignment title starts with G and a grade level; G3 means Grade 3, G4 means Grade 4, and so on, followed by the XP it's worth.
Can my child get help during a question?
Yes, a speaker icon reads questions and explanations aloud; some lessons include a “Watch Video,” and after each answer there's a step-by-step explanation where any underlined word can be tapped for its meaning.
