The parent dashboard and Dash do not update in real time. Knowing when to check and where to look will save you from unnecessary concern about missing progress.
How Often Data Refreshes
Dashboard data generally refreshes every hour. However, the timing is not identical across all learning apps. Some apps sync faster than others, and occasional delays of up to a few hours are normal.
The Daily Activity tab on the left-hand side of Dash is the most accurate same-day view. The top banner on the dashboard can lag behind actual progress and is not the most reliable indicator of what your child completed today.
When to Check
Morning sessions: Check in the afternoon. By then, all data from the morning should be fully synced.
Afternoon sessions: Check the following morning for the most complete picture.
Right after a session: The Daily Activity tab may show updates within a few minutes, but give it time. Checking immediately and seeing nothing does not mean the work was lost.
What If Progress Still Is Not Showing?
If data has not appeared after several hours:
Confirm that StudyReel was running during the session. Without StudyReel active, work will not be tracked and cannot be recovered.
Confirm your child launched the lesson from Dash (inside StudyReel), not from a browser bookmark or by going directly to the app's website.
If both of those are confirmed and data is still missing, contact the Parent Experience Team at [email protected] with your child's name, the date, and which subject or lesson is affected.
