A practical checklist to help make sure every study session is recorded. Following these steps each day will prevent the most common tracking issues.
Before Starting Each Session
Open StudyReel first. StudyReel needs to be running before your child starts any work. Without it, the platform cannot track the session.
Start lessons from Dash. Your child should open each lesson through StudyReel or the My Required Learning page in Dash. Do not start lessons from bookmarks, browser history, or by going directly to an app's website.
During the Session
Keep StudyReel running. It needs to stay active in the background for tracking to work. Do not close or minimize it.
Finish one lesson before moving to the next. Avoid switching between multiple apps or tabs mid-lesson.
If StudyReel crashes or freezes, close it, reopen it, and then continue working. Work completed while StudyReel was not running may not be tracked.
After the Session
The dashboard usually updates within a few minutes, but it can sometimes take a little longer. For the most accurate same-day view, check the Daily Activity tab on the left-hand side of Dash rather than the top banner.
Two Versions of StudyReel Installed?
Having both the old and new versions of StudyReel on the same device can cause crashes and prevent tracking. If you are unsure which version is installed, uninstall both and reinstall the latest version.
