Your parent portal is where you can see exactly what your child is working on and how well they're mastering it. It has two main tabs: Goals and Mastery. This guide walks through what each one shows.
A quick note on XP: Throughout the portal, progress is measured in XP. 1 XP is roughly 1 minute of focused, effective work, at 80% accuracy, not just time with the screen open.
Your Home Page
You land on your homepage when you log in.
At the top, "Needs your attention" lists what they need to do, like booking coaching or setting up the learning calendar.
Below that, each child has a card showing their XP and whether they're on track for Winter MAP.
The blue panel on the right shows upcoming sessions, live support times, and how to reach your program advisor.
Your Schedule
Schedule, just under Feed in the sidebar, shows all of your children's coaching calls and Life Skills sessions on one calendar, each child in their own colour, with times in your timezone. If your child can't make a coaching call, tap it and choose Skip this session; the coach is told straight away, and you can undo it until the call ends. Your Child's Profile
Dash tab
This is the one place to see your child’s daily goals, their level and streak, to-do list, and how they’re tracking toward the next MAP test. You can now see exactly what your child sees.
The to-do list puts the subjects that need the most attention first.
Besides the subjects:
Sessions: the next few coaching meetings and Life Skills hours, with the rest of the week one tap away.
MAP eligibility: where each subject stands for the next test, in a line. Tap it for the full picture on Calendar.
The date picker and the Daily/Weekly switch sit together above the subjects, and View all metrics adds active time and other figures alongside XP.
The "Heads up" banner
Sometimes a subject in the Dash list will show a "Heads up" banner. This shows up when your child's most recent test in that subject drops 20 or more points from their previous attempt in the same subject - for example, going from 70% to 45% on consecutive tests.
The banner now names the subject directly, so you'll know exactly where to look. Tap that subject to see the specific test that triggered it, along with the lessons and recent work around it.
A few things worth knowing:
The banner clears on its own once your child's next test in that subject doesn't show another big drop.
A subject that's simply holding at a low score (not dropping) won't trigger the banner, since it's specifically watching for a sudden change.
If you want a closer look at the trend over time rather than a single test, the Mastery tab shows a progression of results across all attempts.
Subject block
When you click into a subject, you'll see the details of everything in progress for it:
The lessons and the app in which your child is working, each with its own XP goal and expectations, plus the lesson plan and progress when available.
Course XP earned for the current day and the current week.
Test XP earned for the current week. Clicking this takes you straight to the Mastery tab.
The lesson plan and activity feed are ordered by time, newest first, so the most recent work is always at the top.
Subject detail view - a single subject expanded to show its lessons, each lesson's XP goal, the lesson plan, and the newest-first activity feed.
Note on syncing delays: Newly completed XP may take up to 20 minutes to appear in the Parent Portal due to a short syncing delay. This ensures all data is accurately processed and displayed.
Mastery tab
The Mastery tab is where you see how your child is progressing in each subject (Mastery tests over time. It shows every subject your child has taken at least one test in.
For each subject, you'll find:
A line graph showing the historical progression of their results over time.
The Mastery Track: to see exactly how you are progressing toward your goals; the course being worked on, tests taken, and pending tests.
Mastery tab: a subject's progression above their mastery track.
Calendar tab
Your learning calendar is where your school year lives: You can
MAP eligibility: one tile per subject, with what it has earned, the term's target, and today's pace. Show all metrics adds learning time and the average a learning day has been worth.
Your learning calendar: the days your child learns and their days off, with MAP testing days and the week before each test fixed. Open full year shows every remaining month at once.
Report tab
The Report tab is where you view your child's MAP Growth Results and Report, initial enrollment results and Learning Plan based on the initial MAP Screener (the enrollment report is fixed and won't update here), and download a comprehensive report of learning activity, assessments, and skill mastery within a selected date range.
Generate your transcript
In the parent portal, open the Reports tab for each child
Select the date range and the preferred subject, and click "Generate transcript" to download a PDF.
